"Galilee of the Nations"
We begin our series on the subject of
The Gospel of Y’Shua. The Hebrew name for Gospel is Besorah, and means simply, 'News'. The context determines what kind
of news it is. There is good reason to understand that the original word was -- Mesorah -- rather than Besorah. Even, if it
wasn't, the Nazarean Testimony leads us to understand that Besorah leads us straight to the Mesorah. So, then, the News (Besorah)
is that we are to return to the Mesorah through the Nazarean Testimony. The task at hand is to return the Nazarean Testimony
into the context in which it was built out of -- The Mesorah / The Tradition -- handed down from Moses to Joshua to the Elders
to the Prophets to the Court of Ezra down to School of Hillel and his sons (See Pirke Avot.).
“Galilee of the Nations” is the setting in which “The Mesorah” is proclaimed in The Nazarean Testimony.
In Mark 1:1, the scribe of Peter begins his "Mishnah" with the ‘bottom line’ summary statement:
"The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the son of God"
Let's interpret/translate
this back closer to the original Hebraic thought:
“The chief building block of
the mesorah of Y’Shua the Messiah, the son of God”
The Books, called Luke and Acts, build from and upon "The chief building block..." bringing
forth a fuller story of the Jewish Nazarean Assembly. So, we began and developed as we went along.
